Create a Committed Mission
Create a committed mission people join to make your vision a reality.
Your mission is the map your organization uses to get to its destination. Your mission is the ‘how’’ you actualize your vision. Without a mission your brand will be lost and never realize its vision or reach its destination. Will you follow a focused and direct path; or one that wanders? If you do not clearly define your mission you will find yourself expending energy in the wrong direction and never arrive at your destination.
Your Mission Is Your How
A purpose-driven mission is the most direct way to your destination. A clearly defined mission is essential to making your vision a reality.
Purpose Driven Missions connect your mission back to your purpose. It ensures every action your Brand makes has a reason, purpose, meaning, and impact.
In essence your mission is your vision in action.

5 Tips For Creating a Committed Mission
Who do you serve? Make it about those you are serving or connect your cause to those you serve and how they can help make an impact.
Capture the benefit. Make your mission bigger than your business by linking your mission’s benefit. Why should they care? What’s in it for them? Does the benefit resonate with the values and worldview of those you serve? Creating a strong association with your brand and the benefit of your mission makes joining your brand valuable.
What is unique about your business? Understanding your unique value helps position and differentiate your business from others in the same niche. Alluding to your brand’s uniqueness in the mission statement helps your mission become remarkable by linking your mission and your products/services by giving them meaning.
Make it inspiring. Your mission should inspire others to join it. If you craft an inspiring mission that resonates with your employees you will be better able to attract and retain employees. Likewise if your customers are inspired to join your mission you will have brand advocates who buy easier and more often and also tell their friends because they want to help you achieve your mission.
Make it specific. If your mission is too vague and difficult to link your products and services to; customers are not compelled to join your mission because the map to your destination lacks key details. Likewise, if employees do not understand your mission because it’s too vague or is fluffed up with industry jargon they will not be able to link their daily activities to the brands future or purpose of your brand. This creates an unfulfilling work environment and makes your employees disconnected from your brand’s mission.
